How to Apply to LAU New York Applying to study at LAU New York is simple. Follow five straightforward steps to begin your education and join our global community. Select your degree. Check deadlines and gather your application materials. Make sure you have the required forms, transcripts, and test scores. We only review applications that are fully complete. Fill out and submit your application. LAU New York accepts applications online through our application portal. You will be automatically considered for scholarships when you submit your application. Check your application’s status in the LAU New York Portal. You’ll receive your login information in an email 3 to 10 days after you submit your application. Once you are signed in, you can manage your application, check deadlines, and view the admission decision. All applicants are required to submit these materials: A recent passport-size photo. A clear photocopy of your identity card or passport (of the nationality to be used in the registration process at LAU NY). A clear photocopy of your Family Civil Status record (For Lebanese and Arab nationals) Official transcript from schools you attended in the last three years. If your grades from the last year or semester are not available when you apply, they should be sent as soon as they are available. Certified copies of all official certificates or diplomas when available. Students with non-Lebanese diplomas must also submit the Equivalence of Lebanese Baccalaureate from the Ministry of Education (find out how). Official SAT I or ACT scores. Proof of English proficiency If you are a U.S citizen or U.S. Green Card holder you must submit along with the application the W-9S form that can be downloaded from the IRS website, with proof of your social security number. With this information, LAU is able to provide U.S. students (or parents of dependent students) with Form 1098-T that is used for American tax related purposes. Are the requirements different for sophomore students? Yes. For sophomore applicants, SAT and ACT tests are optional. Student admission is based on high school grades and a proof of English proficiency. If you have taken or will take the SAT exam, the scores will be considered for Merit, Entrance, and SAT scholarships while the SAT I Writing section or the SAT I Evidence-Based Reading and Writing will be considered as proof of English proficiency. How do I show proof of my English proficiency? We accept the following English proficiency tests: Official scores of the TOEFL; LAU’s code is 2595 Official scores of the IELTS English Entrance Exam (EEE) administered at LAU SAT I Writing section. All graduate applicants are required to submit these materials: One recent passport-size photo. A photocopy of your identity card or passport (should be the same as the nationality to be used in the registration process at LAU). A clear photocopy of your Family Civil Status record (For Lebanese and Arab nationals) Certified copies of educational or professional certificates or diplomas. Official updated university transcripts from all universities you attended, along with course descriptions of all completed courses Failure to declare enrollment at other institutions could result in an invalidation of admission and any credits or degrees earned. Request your university to send us an official online copy of your transcript. If this option is not available at your university, upload a copy of your transcript in a one file document and request your university to mail your Official transcript to our mailing address. Equivalency of your bachelor’s degree from the Lebanese Ministry of Higher Education (depending on the university/college you attended). A certified copy of your official secondary diploma (Lebanese Baccalaureate, French Baccalaureate, International Baccalaureate, High School Diploma, G.C.E.s, etc.). For diplomas other than the Lebanese Baccalaureate, applicants must also submit the official Lebanese equivalence obtained from the Lebanese Ministry of Education. Recommendations from two professors who are familiar with your academic performance. In addition, if you have work experience, you should supply a certificate of employment.
